Last week, Nashville became the epicenter of Bitcoin as industry leaders, enthusiasts, and innovators gathered for one of the most anticipated conferences of the year, Bitcoin 2024 hosted by Bitcoin Magazine and BTC Inc. CleanSpark, a major event sponsor, took this opportunity to showcase the company as a top Bitcoin miner and highlight the incredible people behind our success.
Showcasing Our Space
While we had an entire “CleanSpark Corner” on the show floor, our booth was designed to display our team’s exceptional talent and dedication. We believe that CleanSpark’s strength lies in its people, and this event provided the perfect platform to introduce them to the wider Bitcoin community. Visitors to our booth were welcomed by the CleanSpark staff and treated to some cool swag! We themed our swag items to reflect Nashville’s energy, featuring a design of a Bitcoin character riding a bull with the caption, “Howdy HODLERS” as well as a pair of boots with “Stomp out the FUD.” In addition, we offered other swag items such as Bitcoin chocolates, stickers, foldable tote bags, bandanas and Bitcoin stress pucks.
Just across from our booth, we sponsored a space that quickly became a favorite among industry attendees: a mining lounge. It was a place to recharge and connect with fellow industry leaders and visionaries. Throughout the lounge, there were various videos playing created by CleanSpark and we had banners to complement them. Rounding out the CleanSpark Corner was the Mining Stage, sponsored by CleanSpark! The stage hosted some of the most influential voices in Bitcoin.
CleanSpark on the Nakamoto Stage: Leading with Vision
The Nakamoto Stage was the centerpiece of the conference and was huge in both size and popularity. This main stage saw speeches and panels from high-profile figures such as former President Donald Trump, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Edward Snowden among others. Amidst these distinguished speakers, our very own Zach Bradford, CEO of CleanSpark, took the stage to share his insights on the panel titled, “Risk/Reward: Public Mining Companies.” Joined by fellow CEOs Jason Les of Riot Platforms and Fred Thiel of MARA, it was moderated by MacKenzie Sigalos from CNBC. Engaging Discussions Across the Conference
While Zach represented CleanSpark on the Nakamoto Stage, Brian Carson, our director of financial reporting, shared his expertise on the Enterprise Stage, a key platform for discussions around the business side of Bitcoin. Brian participated in the panel, “Demystifying Accounting in the World of Bitcoin” moderated by Aaron Jacob from TaxBit. This session delved into the complexities of accounting within the evolving Bitcoin landscape, providing attendees with valuable insights into regulatory changes and best practices. Also at the conference, CleanSpark’s CFO Gary A. Vecchiarelli contributed to a crucial discussion on the Mining Stage titled, “Bitcoin Balance Sheet: Treasury Management for Miners.” He was joined by Jeff Lucas from Bitfarms, Daniel Goodman from Core Scientific, and Shawn Owens from SALT Lending, with Bryce McNallie moderating. This panel explored strategies for managing Bitcoin as an asset, offering miners practical advice on optimizing their financial positions in a volatile market.
Our CTO Taylor Monnig rounded out the event with the last panel on the Mining Stage, “Immersion Mining: Longevity and Efficiency” moderated by Will Foxley from Blockspace Media. Taylor discussed the technological advancements driving efficiency in mining operations, with a particular focus on immersion cooling—an area where CleanSpark excels. View the panel here.
A Massive Footprint, A Massive Impact
Our presence at the conference was unmissable, not just because of the massive footprint we occupied but also the impact we made through new friendships and education. The event was a testament to the power of collaboration and the bright future that lies ahead for CleanSpark and the entire Bitcoin mining industry.
Thank you to everyone who visited our booth, hung out in the lounge and watched our panels on stage. We look forward to continuing this journey with you and we hope to see you next year at Bitcoin 2025 in Las Vegas, our hometown!
