In celebration of the phase two expansion completion of our immersion-cooled bitcoin mining site in Norcross, GA, CleanSpark hosted a Media and Dignitary Day on November 2, 2022. Local organization Partnership Gwinnett helped coordinate the event and ribbon-cutting at the facility.
Dozens of elected officials, media professionals and business leaders attended the tour of CleanSpark’s 20-megawatt operation, powered by 100% carbon-free energy. Guests were able to get up-close-and-personal with our bitcoin miners. Some even tasted the biodegradable, synthetic mineral oil used for immersion cooling.
The event was kicked off by emcee and CleanSpark Director of Communications Brittany Moore. She was joined by fellow speakers (videos are linked) including:
–Matt Schultz, CleanSpark Executive Chairman and Co-Founder
–Zach Bradford, CleanSpark CEO, President and Co-Founder
–Craig Newton, Mayor of Norcross
–Andrew Carnes, Partnership Gwinnett Vice President of Economic Development
–Nicole Love Hendrickson, Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners Chairwoman
Breakfast for guests was provided prior to the event and lunch was held once the tours were finished. Swag was also available for attendees to take him as souvenirs of their visit. Anticipation of the event was high as we previously announced a $145 million investment into the city of Norcross. RSVPs exceeded our expectations, but the event went off without a hitch and was a fantastic success.
