WHAT IS A

MICROGRID

A microgrid or nanogrid is a localized group of electricity sources such as solar panels, generators and energy storage assets such as batteries. A microgrid will not only allow a user to consume the power generated but also store that power for future use. A microgrid can operate connected to the traditional grid or disconnected to “island” away from the traditional grid as economic or physical conditions may dictate.

mVoult enables a system to use power generated from multiple sources, including the main utility, solar, or battery. It also supports storing energy for use during utility disruptions or when economic opportunities exist to lower utility bills.
